Not sure to be honest , I’m not arsed either way , it’s obvious it happens , it always has and if I knew someone at the club with a ticket on offer I’d take them up on it.

Even if the phone calls were made by Phil and Ash, or on their instruction?

If it deprives season ticket holders and regular away attendees in favour of people getting tickets for a one off away game to be there at a “biggie” then yes.

If that’s the case it’s totally and utterly out of order.
I believe Paul who organises the travel struggled to get a ticket.Lots of regular Barrel travellers including me didn't get one.
Rather than suggesting folk have had preference re Tickets or repeating rumours get some facts?

Five sides sold out the Little East this season: Walsall, County. Port Vale, Doncaster & Bradford. For each with the exception of the Thursday rearranged Donny game we exceeded the 7995 available if we used the North for visiting fans. This would mean turning away Spireites for rival fans. Except for the play-offs, no games were high risk for the police due to the limitations on visiting fans. This means lesser police costs. Because of the community tickets contracted under the SLA, we would have had to move 800 season tickets.

Inconviencing season ticket holders and limiting community tickets just so we can get more support for visiting teams is not the way forward and I think our owners see this.

Hi Pete
Under the SLA, is the club not allowed to reduce the number of community tickets on the rare occasions that there is demand from our own fans?

I'm thinking that the capacity for away fans in the East Stand could be extended by moving home fans to North. Little East becomes Bigger East.

Without Phil and Ash, there would be no L2 play-off semi on Friday. As the de facto owners, they, above all others, get to choose who they give freebies out to. Imho

Re read the post, I never suggested folk had preference for tickets or repeated rumours. I said if that did happen it was out of order.
I await your retraction.

I had a conversation with a customer at work this morning ,he asked if I was going(or trying to get a ticket anyway) and he followed it up with he doesn’t need to worry as he’s already got one due to his family being good friends with someone at the club. He's not even a regular traveller or season ticket holder either. It’s not the first time I’ve heard that sort of thing either , so it does happen but it is what it is. Don’t mean to make your head explode or owt town fan if you are reading this 😂

Slightly iffy story perhaps ...that someone who doesn't go away much wants to travel to a game where the odds are very much stacked against us.

Agree.

I'm not good at this ticket malarky, but is it possible that 1 season ticket holder can list/create an account for a few friends under his/her name(none season ticket holders)and get them tickets?

I don’t believe so, you can add friends etc but they would show as season ticket holders, or non season ticket holders, and in that case you couldn’t assign them tickets.

I dont. They do.

If I have to miss out on 2-3 away games a season in return for whete the Club is now, on and off the pitch, then so be it.

It’s a play off semi that we’re still very much in. That’s why the tickets sold out in about 3 minutes. It’s a big game that quite a lot of people want to go to. Not iffy at all , the words came out of his mouth , I’ve no reason to disbelieve him and I have no problem with it either. Like I said further up, if someone from within the club offered me a ticket , I’d say thank you very much.

OK thanks. Just trying to figure out how they went so quickly.

Either or.
Look I get it happens, of course it does and I appreciate those who put the bucks in with sponsorship etc get benefits, but it does grate that those who’ll be there on a cold Tuesday in Fleetwood, or where ever lose out on the big games at the crunch period.

If one ST holder has multiple 'friends and family' linked that are ST holders then one transaction would suffice.

Then there is 'the Town Fan' theory where he suggests the club has reserved a substantial number of tickets for the favoured.

Both are possible
