First goal key.

For any talk of professionalism their players, staff and fans will have their plummet out the promotion places front and centre in their memories.

To the point of having L1 so cruelly snatched away from them in the final seconds last week.

So Town take a lead?

Possibly by two?

Chuck in a hostile crowd and all sortsa defeatism going through their heads...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

That’s true. The side that day was

Thompson
Sparkes
Grimes
Williams
Sheckleford
Oldaker
Naylor
Duffy
Dobra
Olakigbe
Pepple

their pitch was pretty poor as i recall that day.

We won't, but it's perfectly possible for us to play and entirely different starting X1 tomorrow.

I’m strangely extremely relaxed, I think we’ll do it.

Didn't sleep much last night and woke up at the crack of dawn. Must mean it's a big game.

I know we shouldn't be experimenting at this stage of the season but Walsall have goals in them and so I'd keep Gordon for his defensive ability and start Sparkes further forward in place of Coco.

Since Lowe left they average a goal a game and won only 2 - against us and Accrington Stanley

Their form is awful and they will be far more nervous than we will be.
A new hope.

Me too, though 6 pints of Abbott and a home-made Beef Madras haven't helped matters!

Currently in Blackpool just about to embark on a bit of swimming with the bin lids in the Sand Castle, then mad dash back in time for kick off.

Had to come here in 2 separate cars, so the missus and kids can stay on for a few hours and I can complete my special mission.

Pray for no traffic. The dilemma is via Stockport or M62/M1. Decisions decisions….

I would avoid the M62/M1 just in case personally. Get in something there and you can be stuck.

I have a rule now. Always go by what the real time satnav says.

My lad lives at Beckenham, which is at 4.30pm on the M25 clock face. On one occasion satnav advised me to get to the nearest M25 junction and travel clockwise, past the Gatwick junction and Heathrow, which seemed ridiculous. I was home in 3 hours 15, a record.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Something that might calm the nerves a bit is a very good preview on YouTube by a young lad called Tom Williams. He is very knowledgeable for his age regarding all four teams, and very balanced in his views, even though a couple of comments suggest he's a N County fan. He correctly predicted that Wimbledon would beat County last night, and he reckons we will get promoted. I didn't realise Walsall have a much smaller squad than we do, and he reckons, as well as losing the striker who scored most of their goals, that fatigue is kicking in because they have fielded virtually the same team for most of the season. On the contrary, though we've had a high level of injuries, we've got relatively fresh players coming back. I just hope the lad's got it right.

Was a great pod. Highlighted how scarily good Wimbledon can be defensively and shown last night.

Couldn’t find many weaknesses in our team but personally feel the Sunday - Friday schedule goes against some of the legs in our team.
