Just over 1000 tickets for the away leg. Going to be carnage trying to get those

Absolute sh** houses. We're not giving them less out of spite, we'll sell out to home fans. Reckon they'll be a few CFC fans in the home end at Walsall.

The statement they linked to on their website appears to have broke now but it seems they have worded it to say we've only got this so we are only giving the same leaving unsold seats. Trying to save face with the fans as they've made a mess of the season!

Presume some checks will be in place along the lines of previous buying history etc.

They won’t sell out their usual home capacity let alone anything additional from giving us less. I guess they think it’s a risk worth taking or lose out on revenue and have empty seats galore rather than let us having the full stand atleast

We knew a couple of baggies and wolves fans through England games who have purchase history I’m sure with walsall, but that won’t be fun really will it

Yeh its a strange one that they think a few more town fans is that much of an advantage to us. I do think there is an element of them thinking its an easy win to keep their fans happy by doing it when they've had a mare of a second half of the season, fans want the manager out etc. They've probably thought we'll make it look like we care a bit at least and miss out on a few quid from extra ticket sales by only matching the allocations.

Extremely petty by Walsall. If we normally housed away fans behind the goal and had just moved them for the playoffs then I could understand them doing the same. We have given them our standard away allocation. Very childish.

Where have you heard that? Fair enough if that what they want to do, it's their right. There would have been thousands of empty seats anyway, there'll be even more if this is the case.

Walsall have announced it at their end, they've announced details about the allocation they have for the first leg so have made a point of saying they have only given us the same amount for the return leg.

They can do it if they want providing they meet the minimum allocation rules so not much can be done about it but you do wonder how happy the likes of the police etc will be about it.

Petty bastards.

Hopefully we're 4-0 up and the place is deserted.

Seems their website home page is broke but managed to get to the statement here...towards the bottom it says :-

https://www.saddlers...ails-confirmed/

Quote

Visiting Supporters

Chesterfield supporters have been allocated tickets on a reciprocal basis from the first leg.

They will be housed partly in the Experienced Energy Solutions Stand and in blocks H7, and H8 of the BAT Holdings Stand. There will be sections of the BAT Holdings Stand open to home supporters.

Should visiting supporters purchase tickets in home areas, your ticket will be immediately cancelled without a refund. Any Walsall fans who purchase tickets and sell on to away fans will face a banning order.

So it seems not only is it a smaller allocation they have split us across two stands in the hope they can put home fans in bits that would normally be away fans.

Two blocks closest to the corner and the little bit on the side we had that includes the wheelchair spaces.

Really got it on them, haven’t they.

Bet the police are chuffed at the restricted allocation and even more so housing away fans in separate stands.

We'll have sold all available home tickets almost instantly by the time the unsold ST seats have disappeared. They are unlikely to get anywhere close. That'll look good on TV for them 😆

Looks like they have shoved us round this bottom corner of the ground in Blocks 7 and 8 then presumable blocks I and into H of the side stand in the hope they can replicate what we have with fans behind both goals. Not quite as petty as when MK Dons split away fans in completely different sides of the ground for their play off home game last year i think it was but its not great by Walsall.

So it looks like a Friday night in front of the TV then.

Doesn't surprise me if checks were carried out. Accrington told me they would when I called them enquiring about tickets. They would be contacting CFC to check if there is a history of buying tickets. I did think about GDPR but there is the public interest aspect which seems to me is the get-around. Even though I told Accrington I was a Burnley fan and wanted to attend as a neutral because I couldn't get tickets for Turf Moor.

It would be wise for me not to get tickets for the home end anyway. I have a North Staffs accent.

At the start of the season we could have guessed something like this might happen at some point. Victims of our own success. It is a bit petty but provided it's in the rules it's just one of those things, no point getting upset about it.

Exactly. I'm more bothered about what happens on the pitch. If I can't get tickets it makes it easy, telly and beers instead of getting to Walsall on a Friday night.

I was thinking about going and would have tried if it was a bigger allocation but with it being what it is i will leave it to those that have travelled up and down this season to get them. I'll take my daughter to All Stars cricket then get dropped off at the pub to watch it with mates and all being well stumble home after a celebration to plan a Wembley trip.

I'd like to think we can plan a long weekend in London watching Sunderland on the Saturday and us on the Monday but with Sunderlands form recently, worse that Walsall going into the play offs, its probably unlikely!

I don't fancy Sunderland one bit against Coventry!
