Seriously though, I would slaughter 1000 men in battle for Paul Cook
He has been walking a tight rope all season, hopefully todays win has bought him some more time..

Cox - brilliant when it lasted. Spent more than the club could afford. As a licensed insolvency practitioner I should know what happens when these actions go on.
Duncan - twice cleared up the dog (or cat) crap left on the floor. With very little money... Cleaned up after Cox's / Barlow's legacy. In fact, I was too young at the time but was it Barlow that tried to clean up any mess Cox left behind?
Cook - twice did likewise to Duncan. The mess on the floor wasn't quite as sloppy, but again did the oracle and came up good.
McGuigan - before my time but from what I've read did only good things.

Will have faith in Cookie delivering for this football club….despite the abuse I get from the bell ends on here for my unwavering support of him.
Arise Sir Paul Cook of Chesterfield FC, you’ve proved that element of negative bed setters wrong yet again <drop the mic>

Barlow took over mid season after fox left. Had his budget cut etc. relegated.
Johnny no goals took over with just 5 contracted players in the squad, and won the league within 2 seasons
Second time after macmenemy had us languishing in the bottom 6 of the basement - the club wasn’t broke like it was after the fox era though

I wonder what it would take to temp Cookie away now? I’m sure he still has ambitions to manage as high as he can - but he’s also settled here isn’t he. I think he’d like to have a crack at getting us into the championship.
