Parking Fine - Asda

Been parking here for years with no issues. Looking at the photo’s it looks as though a parking warden has walked around and physically taken a picture of the front and back of the car rather than being pictured by a camera.
Ignore it or pay?

Walk around the car park and take photos of information signs, ensuring they comply with the private parking code. The code has recommendations around
Entrance signs and the information they must include
The size and positioning of all signs that display terms and conditions
Text choices to aid readability (font, size, colour in relation to background)
Maintenance of signs so that they remain legible
I have won an appeal on contraventions of the code a couple of times.
Ignoring it is always dangerous, as it will likely eventually be passed to a debt collection agency who will continue to pursue.

Don't ignore it as these things can (and do sometimes) escalate but challenge it.
Last year I picked up a fine for inadvertently parking over a drop kerb on Bank Rd. Even though there was no ticket on the car I challenged it but still lost. But it was worth a try.
I'd worry more though if it was the authorities that issued a fine rather than a private company. Councils are more likely to increase the fine, go to Court and send bailiffs in if you go dark on them.

Parking Eye manage Aldi in Leek and the stories of ridiculous fines that do make the local news always seem to get squashed on appeal.

Don't know the time limit but if it's a hour and there's two photo's showing the car, one at 3pm and on at 4.10pm. They can prove the photos are genuine with meta data. No need for time stamps

It's 90 mins. There's only one pic on the letter I've seen only.

One photo can't prove how long the car was there. They are devious so and so's. Probably waiting for the OP to challenge it and lose the early settlement discount and then produce a second photo as proof of length of stay.

If you appeal and lose the charge is kept the same for a period of time. This one will be challenged on the basis the stay was less and see what happenens if no future evidence offered.

I’m interested as to how your going to contact the parking company, it is impossible by phone and don’t be surprised to receive an increased charge whilst all this appeal time takes. Don’t forget you are in their hands in respect of responses. Don’t anyone say otherwise I had this situation and had to go down the solicitor avenue, luckily all my charges came out of the business because my first notification charge began at £170.00 with them disputing payment.
Cut your losses and frustration pay any initial charge.
You can’t get Tesco to help because they have non shopping charges in place.

Tesco will be no use because it was in Asda!
