Well done Dobs, although for me, it was a toss up between Dobra and Mandeville. I voted for Mandy because, not only was he a 7 or 8/10 every game, he did it while playing a compendium of positions extremely effectively. Dobs, is a player who will bring in more and more fans because people like flair players, and rightly so, and let's face it, without his goals and assists we would have been looking forward to league two football some games ago. So once again, well done Dobs, stick with your second dad at Chesterfield FC, where you're loved by all.

I think if Dobra has a season like this one next campaign we will struggle to hold onto him and he will become a target of a lower end Championship club. Testament to how the lad has developed at the club in his time here.

I voted for Dobra because I felt Mandeville struggled in the first half of the season. Liam has come into his own since Christmas but until then Gordon was a contender then he had a lengthy spell out injured. The award is for the season and not just part of it and that influenced my choice.

Lewis Gordon has the coolness about him associated with players much higher up the leagues than he's played, but you're right, the injury hasn't help, and I don't think we'll see the best from him again until next season.
As for Mandy, I feel he just gets better and better at everything he does, but that's why we have a vote because everyone sees things differently.

Gordon is a class act. He was my player of season till injury. Big player for this club moving forward.

Made me laugh when people on here said he would be a back up for sparkes. Sparkers isn’t our player for a
Start and he’s certainly not about Gordon in the pecking order in that position.

If Sparkes was our player he’s above Gordon in my opinion. But as you say he isn’t our player.

Well done Dobra, correct decision for our player of the season. Mandeville's had a cracking 2nd half of the season and deserved to be in the discussion, I'd put him 2nd place but Dobra has been a creative spark until his injury. There's still so much more to come from him.

In terms of Sparkes v Gordon, I don't think either is clearly better than the other, they both specialise in different things. Sparkes is more attacking and slings in cross after cross but is more liable to get caught out, Gordon is steadier but not as much of an attacking threat. I'd love to have both for next season but suspect we'll go with Gordon instead of having two first team quality LB's on the books who would both require first team wages.

Dobs the only choice, our best player and most fun to watch. Love Mandy but he's only started about half our games.

I think i saw sparkes have a couple good games. Gordon has been very good every time I have seen him over a longer period of time. I'll stick with Gordon all day long on that basis

I was a fan, however since his return to the starting 11 I'm far from convinced. His positioning at times and his ability to support our attacking play is miles off what we require in my opinion.

I like both Sparkes and Lewis Gordon, but as a defender Gordon is better than Sparkes with Sparkes edging it in the overlap. omeone told me that Duffy could play anywhere on the left, from full back to left wing, but I haven't read that, to be honest.

Mandy has started 31 out of 45 league games this season (69%).

You said that at the end of last season as well and yet he's still here. Maybe he's quite happy with us and with Paul Cook as his manager and wants to stay here hence him signing a contract extension?

Exactly my thinking aswell mate that's why I went Dobra over Mandeville 👍

Very much deserved .
Not just for his creativity and goals, but for his work rate. His working back to win the ball back has massively helped us score a few goals
