No idea how their last game ended but they finished on 48 points to our 51 but their gd was better than ours so guessing they lost. Bet they had Plymouth or qpr so I can't have been worried about them cos I can't remember anyone else being in it but they must have been above us before kickoff.

Was one hell of an escape that

Is that the season we were in the bottom 4 for the entire campaign, but escaped in the 94th minute?

We got 9 points in our 1st 16 games because the following 30 games form had us on 42 points and 10th in the form table

That game was one of the first times I remember being able to get live scores on my mobile phone. I had a little Nokia thing that used WAP to be able to access basic text based internet stuff including scores.

Seem to remember knowing Grimsby were losing and telling folk around us where we were sat on Compton Street so we knew if we scored we’d be safe then the rest as they say is history!

I messaged my wife who was helping a mate covering a bar shift at a pub to say we’d scored and we’re staying up before our goal had even hit the final scores show they had on in the pub.

Yeah but we're not playing in the game so it makes no difference what we concentrate on.

Crikey I hope Cookie isn't telling our players that. Trust me we need to concentrate on ourselves first and foremost.

I think he meant 'we' as in the fans aren't playing so what we concentrate on is irrelevant.

Nope. We draw, Salford lose, but Colchester win or Grimsby draw and we miss out.

We win and we need Salford to drop points

We draw and we need Salford and Grimsby to lose and Colchester not to win

That's all, just the two

well there's the 3rd where we lose and bugger all happens for us

Why don't you work it out yourself. It isn't that hard.

The table I am looking at has Wimbledon on 70 with plus 20 goals. We are on 67 with +18. If Wimbledon lose they will still be on 70 so we would need a better GD to jump above them.

Putting us both on the same points and GD.

And we’ve won more games.
God I hate this league.

I'm thinking a double on both us and Carlisle keeping a clean sheet might be a good bet. That combo needs to happen for us to get to heaven, imo.

Other permutations that have no bearing on us, but staggering to think that Walsall haven’t won since beating us in February.

Their drop off has been quite spectacular. Their fans are mostly apoplectic with how the season has gone since January.
