Anyone else concerned that Mark Hughes will be happy to do his former team mates a favour next week or does the fact they seemingly never thought of appointing him as manager give him the desire to beat Salford ?

I don’t think it will be a walkover by any stretch , I’m more concerned about us at Accrington as we don’t win there
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

I'm hoping we win of course, and Carlisle go out with a bang in front of their own fans.

In his interview after Morecambe Olikigbe said there is no point in dwelling on the other matches we can’t influence only our own which we can
Wise words.

Looking at the Carlisle board doesn’t give any confidence whatsoever that they/Hughes are going to approach the game with any intent.

Apparently Salford have now filled a 3rd coach for their massive must win game 🙄

You watch, Salford will be 2-0 after 10 minutes and the mood will be ruined.

I can't believe that any professional football team would throw a game on the instruction of their manager.

Then again, this is football, one of the most corrupt sports on the planet.

It's not going to happen like that. But unfortunately although they've improved Carlisle just aren't very good and the majority of their players won't be there next season.

No need for the mood to be ruined though , we've had a great first season back in the league and are going to finish top 10 at the worst. Time to celebrate on Saturday wether we make the playoffs or not. In my opinion another season for Cookie to build in this division won't do us any harm if we make the playoffs this season is just a bonus 👍

It would but you're right. I'm not going to cry about it whatever. I have full confidence we'll be top 3 next season and will have a few quid on it subject to the price being favourable.

Whilst playoffs would be fantastic, a top 10 finish is still an excellent outcome and a solid first season back; plenty to build on and look forward to next season.

They beat port vale a few weeks ago and their form is good (10 points from the last 5 games). Anything is possible.
Here we go again!
