Remember that dog bowl thing the scabs were passing round on their open top bus parade last year. I reckon they went and bought that themselves from B&M or summat. Surely the league don’t give you a trophy for finishing 3rd?

Play off winners get a trophy which effectively means in this league you’ve got one for finishing 4th 🤷🏽‍♂️

All play off winners have always got a trophy, I guess because they have won the mini-tournament involving the 4 teams (or 6 in NL).

Can’t recall us getting any sort of trophy in 2001 when we finished 3rd and got promoted after the points deduction

We'd probably not have a club without Phil and Ash.

The club of course would still exist, however it would still be in the National League.

Wrexham Holdings, owned by McReynolds, is a minority owner. As interesting, is that Reynolds, alone, holds the trademarks to Wrexham AFC in both the UK and USA. Watch this space a few years down the line.

Per the 2024 accounts, ‘as at 30 June 2024, 100% of share capital in Wrexham AFC was held by Wrexham Holdings LLC.
95% of Wrexham Holdings is owned by the RR Reynolds Company LLC, so RR and RMcE remain the ultimate controlling parties of Wrexham AFC Limited’.
Not sure what you are saying.

I'm probably in the minority here but I just don't get the hate for Wrexham. Yes, the media coverage is a bit nauseating but that is how the media work. It's all about interactions and Wrexham with their ownership get huge amounts of clicks. Yes they have spent a lot of money but their rise is still a great achievement (Though not the fairy tail the media portrays obviously and Luton's rise to the Prem eclipses anything Wrexham will do). My Dad lives in Wrexham and it's not just the Football club on the rise. The whole community is buzzing and surely that is what football is about? Giving towns like our very own and Wrexham something to shout about and enjoy after years of misery. Is what they are doing any different to what the Kirk's and the Trust have done for us? The scale obviously is but the theory is the same. I can guarantee, If Reynolds and his mate had pitched up on Sheffield Road and done the same for us, we would be feeling exactly the same as the Wrexham fans this morning.

Spot on, agreed. Anyone (bar a few stragglers) would love it if it were them.

Sort of where i am with it all, the reason it grates a bit is the media overload and love in with it all. For what its worth i quite like the fact that two Americans have bought a languishing side and i think been surprised themselves how much they have fallen for the game, the area and the club etc.

I have no issue at all with it. They've done it the right way and haven't done it with Wycombe or Crawley. They've chosen a working class town like ours and have made a real difference.

I do think they might hit a bit of a wall now they're in the Championship.

Their squad looks quite old and I'm not sure if they have the quality, with either their players or the manager. I'm sure they'll stay up but mid-table safety doesn't make good telly in the same way promotion or abject failure does, I can see interest dropping off a bit.

I've seen the Birmingham owner or chairman, not sure of exact role, bigging them up for next season claiming their turnover next season will be the highest outside clubs with parachute payments. Another club with American owners and using the high profile american name(s) to push things.
