Col U missing that late pen and failing to beat 10 man Crewe. Is it in the stars?

Beat Bradford (who aren’t in great form) on Monday and the league’s top 2 both win at home and we are top 7 come 5pm with just Morecambe and Accy to play

When even opposition commentators (and they do it regularly) mention all we do is slowly pass sideways and backwards, it begs the question why Cook persists with it and bores us into a lobotomy type state watching it. Pep Guardiola is a wanker, I can't stand what he's done to football.

His possession obsession is what's made Cook the lower league's most successful gaffer.

But jeez - sometimes we've just gotta gamble...

Agreed. I'd love us to just 'go for it' once in a while.

With other results it’s a good point if we can win on Monday.

If we win on Monday, and it’s doable, as I don’t rate Bradford one bit, we are more than capable of finishing the season on 72 points, which would need Colchester and Grimsby both to pick up two wins each which I can’t see happening.

Neither team seemed interested in really going for it.

Excuse my frustration. I'm a fan of Cook but I don't get this.

He brings on Grigg for Olakigbe with 10 or minutes so to go. There's a case that he should have done this earlier, but nonetheless it's a positive substitution. A proven goalscorer on the pitch.

I'd have thought hat we'll be wanting to get the ball to Grigg, to add a bit of energy to our play, to get it forward earlier. So what do we do? More of the same passing it around across the back and in midfield.

On a couple of instances when we actually did get the ball forward in the last 10 we looked like we would do what we should have done today; beat a very average team and put more pressure on the top 7.

It's a point yes, but it's another 2 dropped IMHO.

Paul cook is the anti christ of billy bean, he never takes any stats into his game plan , Grigg scores away not at home, because he gets more space ( which he needs as his legs have gone) start him away , not an anti grigg thread a fact thread based on his goals
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

Don’t get some of the grumbles on here this afternoon. We’ve gone away to a very good side, who arguably should be in the top 3, nullified them and probably should have have won.

Our performances against the top 10 this season has been mostly excellent, and if you based the season on it we are comfortably playoffs.

It’s the results against the crap that has done us.

Love to finish 7th, but 8th even as a shit consolation prize looks well within our grasps now. Given the injuries and crap luck we’d have all taken that after the final home game against Maidenhead last season.

Makes you wonder why commentators aren’t managers/coaches, they’d be great at it.

To be fair a points not a bad result, but having so much possession and not 1 shot on target is shocking and something that needs to be addressed
