Many have posted, rightly so,that we need a Ryan Morsey combination,a Mark Allott or a Mike Jones for 20+ games last season would have probably given us a top three finish.

Shame we blew most of our money on old crocks then.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Think you should really ask yourself if you are following the right team for you? Maybe time for a change?

Give it a rest. it was played at pedestrian pace and nobody went anywhere near him. You don't half talk some rubbish on here! If there was any doubt he wouldn't have played. do you not think our coaching staff speak with players? Was also a week before our play off game and the players didn't report back into training till Tuesday or Wednesday. Miles off it yet again.

One of the simplest decisions Cook will have to make soon is whether he thinks Fleck will get outrun by younger, fitter opponents. If there's even a sniff of that being a reality then he won't offer Fleck owt 'cos it's 'tactics' at it's most basic and it will be apparent at every match.

It's a very big decision, but it's easy to quantify during preseason.

Apparently HK and his family are big Orient fans and have at times in the recent past supported them financially in some way I believe.

Cheers, didn’t know that

Kane used to be the main shirt sponsor at Leyton Orient with some charity he was involved in

Thanks, per my reply to Merc, I wasn’t aware of that. I was guessing the reference was to Markanday but couldn’t see the link between Kane and Orient

Fleck will get outrun occasionally but Cook may think his positive contribution outweighs the risk?

He didnt struggle to compete in more than a couple of games, lets hope a good pre season will see him come back a better and stronger player.

Absolutely, not just on the pitch either but on the training ground too,

Yep. His stats will soon show up how occasional 'occasionally' is. The deeper he plays the less he'll get caught out but we've got to push up far more as a team, imo. Then, the passes get much shorter and crisper, first time control pays dividends and gives us an edge cos we've got the players. So we want Fleck and Naylor and the back 4 further forrad.

We MUST make the Goalie's section the best in this league, and I personally see Boooooot as back up. Whatever, I'd like this to be the first thing that's sorted out.

Agreed.

Given that Tyrer played the best part of 40 times for Blackpool last season, he's probably out of our reach now. Do you think we are monitoring his situation or has that ship sailed?

When he was with us, Everton extended his contract by 12 months to 2026. To date, I don't see that there has been any further developments, so he's now weeks away from entering the final year of his contract.

On that basis, do you think Blackpool will be looking at trying to sign him on a permanent deal?

Think I mentioned previously Everton released 2 of their 3 first team keepers the other week so they will potentially be looking to move at least one of their younger keepers up to fill one of those spots.

Fans can’t be critical of the side performance etc?

We’re on record as offering Fleck a contract so what are you talking about?
A new hope.

You have been posting for a very long time so I am sure you are aware of Town_Fan and his tirades against the club?
Yes of course we are all entitled to post opinions on performance etc,,. but the majority of us do it with the best interests of the club in mind.
Surely if every aspect of a club you purport to support seems so negative would it not be better to find a different pass time?

Great. He obviously quantified the risk during very very early pre season.

The retained list was announced 2 weeks ago; you could call it 'very very early pre season' I suppose!
