My apologies the post suggested it was far more recent.
So is there an official he's signed post other than a rumours post?

Yeah, god forbid we keep arguably our best centre half who has played the majority of his career in the Championship.

He's not played much last couple of season at first team level.

Tbh I thought Bradford home match was his Ian Breckin moment when he knew it was time to hang up his boots.

Hopefully either he's not needed much or has a fantastic season.

28 appearances the season before last for Coventry/Blackburn and a massive contributor to Blackburn staying up.

Granted he didn't play much last season prior to signing for us, I'd hope the plan is for him and Dunkley to rotate with a quicker centre back, but KM's experience and know how in the dressing room will be invaluable.

Bear in mind he was rushed back from a serious injury to help us out back end of last season. He said himself he was only about 70% fit
Given a full preseason I’d be fairly confident that KM will be our best CB next year

How many games do you expect he'll play next season?

Also, I'll ask the same question that I asked Liam at the DT:

With Dunkley, McFadzean and Grimesy under contract for next season and terms have been offered to Ash Palmer, how do you envisage the central defensive pairing playing out, especially as we desperately need to introduce some pace into the position?

Grimes will become a sub / checkatrade / Derbyshire cup player. Palmer will most likely be off. Dunks & Fadz will alternate through the season at RCB, which leaves us the option of bringing in a more youthful quicker LCB.

How many CB pairings did we have last season? There is enough slots for at least one more CB especially if Palmer goes.

Rumblings are he was at the club yesterday. Agreed to join and hands were shaken. He’s under contract until June 30th so I wouldn’t imagine anything being announced until July.

It would shift some more ST’s however if they did announce him to join upon the expiration of Blackburn contract, once he’s actually signed that is.

We shall see.

So you're not expecting Dunkley or McFadzean to start many more than 20 games each next season?

Your youthful, quicker LCB - will he be ever present?

Due to injuries, too many.

No reason all 3 can’t rotate throughout the season. Which Cook isn’t scared of doing. I wouldn’t be opposed with Fadz & Dunks being the starting pair going in to next season either. Long way to go until August.
