I don't see a problem with asking for a taster. Real Ales can vary so much when using different hops giving very different tastes. I for one wish you could ask for tasters of dishes at restaurants, the number of times I've ordered a meal and it's been horrible.

Agree but hoing back to Camra. What currently peas me off is that beers are described on boards as hazy. Which from experience can mean clear, slightly hazy hazy or totally opaque hence another need for a taster imo
