If I was to try the Lewis & Gordon combination on the left then it would be with Lewis more advanced than Gordon.

Then I am hoping we see the player we thought we had signed and Duffy benefits significantly from a pre-season with us. If he does come good then neither Gordon nor Lewis will be chosen ahead of him whilst Colclough will continue to compete for his place too.

Mandeville at RB worries me but neither do I think either Sheckleford or Daley-Campbell are the answer. Maybe we will get some news about the Donacien situation this coming week and if he doesn’t sign we could be in the market for an upgrade.

Cook must feel he can be the LB / CB option Araujo was, 6ft so may be possible
