Some quality players released by Derby who would do a job here, Kemar Roofe and Connor Washington. Probably way out of our budget in wages i reckon

One of Warfey's recommendations Sam Dalby (25yo) will be released by Wrexham once his loan at Dundee United is over.

Sparkes, Metcalfe, Pepple & Markanday all on perms. A top keeper, RB, CB to play alongside Fadz, and a Sami Morsy style CM commander… if Carlsberg did transfer markets.

I think PC and the Kirk’s will be ruthless with the old guard and look to build a L1 squad this summer. Very excited to see what happens over the coming months.

There was mention of the Fleetwood captain who plays centre mid, not sure if there’s much chance of it as he’s under contract for another year but if that’s the calibre of players we’re after it’ll be a cracking summer

Thank god for that he's no better than what we've got.

God I hope he's not a target for us , I think his penalty miss for Southend here a few seasons ago has still to land!!

He’ll sign for Dundee United who I think will be in Europe for finishing fourth

To get out of the National league we signed players capable of playing well in league 2, we know need to sign players capable of playing in League 1, in Cooky and the club we trust

Both made of paper. Enough older players with injury problems, ta.
These go to eleven.

He was truly awful in that match and I was surprised he went to Wrexham but he’s been great for Dundee United. Bit of a target man so totally unsuitable to how we play.

Been impressed with Boot TBH. His game with the ball at his feet has come on leaps and bounds.

As a shot stopper he’s more than adequate in L2. As a sweeper keeper he’s the best in L2.

If we go up I’d be happy to give him a year as No2. If in L2 I’d be happy for him to be No2

Let’s be honest the goal keeper position isn’t one that’s a priority to be addressed

CB and CM.

Kind of agree but if we had the opportunity to get a top quality keeper for the level, with more command of his area, of course that would make a huge difference. Can’t remember the last real top quality keeper we had- Tommy Lee? Loads before Tommy- Mercer, Pollitt etc
These go to eleven.

This summer is massive. Not major surgery required but we need 4/5 real quality additions if we are to go up automatically.

The number of signings we bring in will very much depend on the number of players not retained or who decide to move on. We have a lot of players out of contract and often have 4 loan players in the match day squad.

Cook has previously commented on us having signed too many players since he was last with us but he has had a big turnover in players since his return. I expect this to continue with an emphasis on reducing the average age of the squad which has been allowed to drift upwards since his return.

Can’t see Cook being keen on signing a player that turned us down last summer, like Dallas boat has sailed on that one.

I agree, he had his chance.

I really do not get the urgency to sign a keeper, Boot has been super reliable and saved us numerous times, he knows the players the staff and how the manager wants to play he seems calm under pressure and is decent with his feet.

Just a thought, though, MacFadzean turned us down last summer!!!

However, I think we should be looking for better if we truly need a new No1.

Personally, I do not think GK is our most pressing of requirements. Top of my list is a RB, 2 CBs, DCM, CF.
