I think you are right about Premier loanees. Araujo is still with us despite his injury. Tanton was the best RB we have had all season but such a shame about his injury. Metcalfe has stayed with us despite his injury and had shown significant development.

Then looking at Championship loanees. Walsall had the Stoke lad recalled an they have not been the same since. Pepple was doing well at Southend so got recalled by Luton and sent out to us.

However, I would love to think we could develop some young talent of our own or permanently sign some promising young talent from higher up to improve and sell on for good money.

all about opinions but I thought Tanton was very average.

Never got going and it proved to be a poor signing but not a poor player

Just needed more men’s football to get the experience

Harvey too, got better with every game

As has Metcalfe

I just don’t see it in okakigbe though

And you can’t fill your team with these lads, they are better the 2nd season and there’s little benefit in blooding them in for someone else

We have Kane Drummond who, in my opinion, is a better winger than Olakigbe, but he's out for the season. Are we going to have him sat in the stands next year while Olakigbe is either on the pitch or one of the subs? Drummond needs to step up next season and show his full potential, because he has bags of it.

Unfortunately, Drummond looks full of purpose and potential but has only shown flashes of capability without any consistency at all.

I like the lad’s enthusiasm but enthusiasm isn’t enough.

If Michael can produce Saturdays form consistently he'd be a great option for us imo

Can someone tell me where Drummond has shown any of this ‘bags of potential’ he apparently has?
Looked an absolute fish out of water when he had that run in the team when we were crippled with injuries. That was his chance to make an impact and stake a claim.

That lad is nowhere near it, and certainly not as good as Olakigbe.

He's looked better played on the right but agree Olakigbe looks considerably better overall.

Completely agree. Olakigbe is light years ahead of Drummond.

Normally agree with your posts - I think we are of similar vintage!- but have to disagree here. As most people have said Olakigbe is far better than Drummond. Problem is with all of them at this level is the inconsistency. We saw it too with Berry.

Drummond, will be a different proposition next season, I'm sure. Olakigbe is fast but apart from the one cut in, he has tried to go on the outside. OK while he picks up corners, but a quality left back will block that route off and steer him inside. Drummond, from what I've seen, is happy across the attacking positions, but as I stated, he needs to show his full potential next season. Olakigbe will be tried in league one next season, at a guess.
Yes I can safely say we're both older than the average bears lol.
