Just got back to hotel for a brief interlude and read up to this point and now giving up 'til tomorrow. We won the toss kicked against the wind and did what we had to, kept a clean sheet (thanks Mandy) and then did what we had to 2nd half, 'won ugly' In my mind a performance thst suited to the conditions and venue.

I agree with all that , I got back home about half hour ago and thought it was a really professional performance in awful conditions. Some fans need to give their head a wobble , we had one behind us slating all the players saying they didn't look interested , which was utter rubbish. Like you say we played against the conditions really well in the first half and then took the game to them more in the 2nd with the conditions with us. All in all an excellent day but Jesus it was bloody cold!!!

At the game I think we were brilliant 👍

One more year one more year Michael Jacobs!

jacobs is a very talented footballer and someone who cook clearly trusts, as a player in this squad he is one who i imagine the other players look up to, not sure if he will get another year, he's missed so much football this year but i wouldn't rule it out, don't see him being a regular starter though

Yes I do…. 6 wins from 8 will do it. Not a great chance but definitely a chance.

Flexible!! When breezy.

Weren't they a temporary erection (no don't) to meet EfL regs. to allow them promotion some 4 (was it) years ago. Surely with the engineering reputation this town rightly has someone could have cobbled a more suitable structure together to accommodate folk, and eliminate neck strains peering round pillars. But more bizarrely for a sea faring town they can't find someone to stretch a piece of canvas over a 30 yard (guess) length of seats without leaving a 2ft gap, leaving the claimed covered seating, actually uncovered and folk getting somewhat damp!!!

I suppose it's money saved and put in the playing budget and f... the away fans

It was on target. It can't be anything but his goal!

It went into completely the opposite side of the net after the massive deflection. Sure that always used to be an own goal, still don’t care though😃

Pretty sure the ruling these days is if the initial effort is on target then it’s the players goal.

With a game in hand…..still think 6 wins will do it. 3 of next 4 are at home too.

Harrogate was at home too! But I get what you’re saying, I just think we’re 4/5 points shy of we’re we would need to be to mount a serious challenge. But ya never know.

It’s really down to those dropped home points early in the season and the away games we lost having been the better team such as Gillingham and Bradford. We should have had at least 3 more points and even 6/7 which would have made all the difference. Also the recent 4 match losing run and the 3 match losing run over Christmas. You can’t afford to effectively lose 7 matches on the bounce and mount a challenge.
Looking back at our league position last year I forgot we actually lost 10 games (4 after we had won the league). The difference was we only drew a handful and won 30 odd. You can afford to lose games providing you win many more and don’t draw too many. A couple of wins are worth 6 draws. And 33 wins gives you 99 points even if you lost the other 13 games.

That temp.stand was aweful and wants demolishing, it wasnt until the 2nd half that we could actually enjoy Town's play. At least we had roof unlike Gateshead, visiting fans who come here dont know how lucky they are.

It's the large number of home draws that gave scuppered us. Winning just a few of them, which we should have done, would have us sitting in the play-offs at least. All we can do now is win as many of the remaining games as possible and see where it leaves us, and we're having a good go at that recently.

To be fair we only went in 3 pubs and a couple of them were good and we went to Olympia Chippy on the reccomendation of the bar staff in the Kings and that was a belter too, only £5 for fish and chips

Less said about the ground and area round it the better mind. Weather didn’t help things certainly
