We really don't want to making the playoffs, or getting promoted this season, we don't want to triggering contract extensions in players that are bareiy good enough for league 2, we would be cannon fodder in league 1 with this squad

Do you have a link to that?

I don’t recall an interview talking about contract extensions on gaining promotion
A new hope.

Will look at the table if we get 4+ points from the next two games.

We are 5 points down on where Crawley were at this stage last season

They sat in 9th on 53 points with 11 to go

The last 11 for them were W5 D3 L3

Realistically we can only afford to lose one more game if we're to have any hope

Doncaster won 10 of the last 11 though so.... it's the hope that kills you

Someone else has had 2 or 3 quid on promotion. Down to 20s now

Over the last 10 full seasons (excluding covid season) back to when we last won the league, an average of 73 points (rounded up) is what it takes to finish in the playoffs.

77 points once (29 needed, 2.7 ppg)
75 points 3 times (27 needed, 2.5 ppg)
73 points once (25 needed, 2.3 ppg)
71 points 3 times (23 needed, 2.1 ppg)
70 points twice (22 needed, 2 ppg)

7 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses will 6 times out of 10, manage it.

Do you know what? With the teams we have to play, why can't we?

That was fun 😁
Here we go again!

Christ, it's the hope that kills you.
We are (well, I am!) back to looking at 7th spot again.
With game in hand, results going our way, our form picking up and every game being winnable...well, there is a very realistic chance - obviously a better chance than a few weeks ago

There's always that one team that has a late run for the play-off positions, for now it looks like it's Colchester but they could come unstuck and we could sneak in under the radar!

For certain our little three game run this week has made probably ourselves and the fans of other teams above us start thinking we’re in with a shout. Add in the likes of Grigg, Mcfadzean and Araujo back imminently with madden available again and after all the downs of this season all of a sudden we have a chance.

Madden can go for me, having said that we will probably get to play off final and he scores the winner

I'd be real naffed off if Colchester made the P/Os. I think they are absolutely dog dirt and their pitch is also dog dirt

77 points once (22 needed, 2.75 ppg)
75 points 3 times (20 needed, 2.5 ppg)
73 points once (18 needed, 2.25 ppg)
71 points 3 times (16 needed, 2 ppg)
70 points twice (15 needed, 1.88 ppg)

6 wins, 0 draws, 2 losses will 6 times out of 10, manage it. Last 5 games we're on 2.6ppg.

Probably done the maths wrong but it's something to read.
