I don't want to sound like a delusional happy clapper, but we have played less games than anyone (except Port Vale) and have two games in hand on many teams. I know our form has been poor recently, but if we win our games in hand we would only be 5 points off 7th, with a better goal difference.
Let's not give up hope.
Yet.

We probably need to win 9 of our final 11 games. The hope will kill you.

Don?t do it to yourself it?s the hope that kills you. But as a fan we can dream until it?s not mathematically possible

Well, I spoke to Will Grigg this morning whilst walking past the ground and he said that he was only a week away from being back to full fitness.
We've missed him more than anybody...
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

This time next Saturday after 2 tough away games will give a much clearer picture on this.

It?s unlikely we?re gonna go on a run to win enough games now isn?t it

But - slim glimmer of hope. Fleck actually managed to stay fit and play in games. The quality isn?t in question. The fitness is. If he can play each game now and contribute it?s a massive boost.

Grigg back soon. If he manages to play each game and stay fit its a huge boost

Macfazdean can come back and play some games

It would be like when we signed Robinson. Or was it Dutch? and was it lormer under Johnny no goals and hit the accelerator and ended up beating bury at Wembley

Or has my memory got signings confused?

But even if I?ve got the signings wrong these guys it back fully fit at the same time might have the same impact
A new hope.

There's little point rushing them back. The season is over realistically. It's now about players earning contracts or otherwise and a cohesive plan formulated for next season.

Phil Robinson & Tony Lormer were the catalysts for the play-off season, Paul Holland joined midway through the following season.

I'll take on the role of delusional happy clapper then. I've been called much worse over the years 😳

It's not the hope that'll do for me: it's the lack of hope. I don't see the fat lady yet 🥰

Phil Robinson and Tony Lormor, went 20 odd games unbeaten and could / should have finished second, pipped to the post by Walsall. Both of these signings scored in the play off final. Paul Holland helped us in a way by handballing against Town in the semis and that penno was tucked away by Nicky Law.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

We've got no chance to making the play offs....but I'm fine with it. The injuries this season have been absolutely ridiculous and at times we've been left with a worse starting 11 than last season. It's totally understandable in my view that we'd struggle to keep up the pace with that sort of adversity. My only hope for the season is that we keep at it (team and fans) and stay positive and keep together etc and don't let things turn negative.

Playoffs would need a run of some brilliance from now pretty much winning every game so its a long shot. I'm working on the basis of have a good finish, get some of the momentum back to go into the summer with some optimism.
