Also a big Thankyou to the Ref, holding the game up for the applause something rarely seen in football...

Yes
Class from the ref with that
Fair play as well to the Newport players who joined in the applause
All the best to them for the rest of the season

agree with that, we got our identity back today, could've won by a bigger margin and big praise to boot for that save. great atmosphere today too.

There?s a player in there for sure. He could develop into a very decent player. Needs to be better in the air and study Will Grigg?s movement but he?s a great kid and his attitude and application is spot on. He was absolutely delighted when he scored. I wouldn?t be against him coming in permanently if available. I think there is plenty to work with and develop.

Thought we played better without out and out wingers. We were a lot tighter across the middle, and there was always someone available for a short pass.

An all round team performance and so good to see the likes of Mandeville, Sheckleford, Banks & Naylor back to something like the players we know. Oldaker, too, looked to play the ball forward more often. Pepple ran his socks off and was so unfortunate when both his shots came back off the posts.
Brilliant 58th minute applause all round with a big thank you to the Newport supporters, players, the referee and officials. It is that togetherness which unites all in football.

Well said.
We needed to go back to basics in an attempt to regain some of our identity. We've been crying out to get Tom Naylor, Banksy & Mandy back in midfield starting games and it's a drum that I've been banging for some time. I was pleased with all the lads today and it was good to see Mandy get a great performance under his belt because I feel we've p'd him about at times this season.
I actually thought our performance was deserving of a greater margin.

the response was excellent, whilst their players were lauding it over the south stand, palmer went and got the ball ready for a restart, shecks then drove forward with purpose from the restart and before their fans could finish singing "how Shhhh must you be we're winning aw....oh hang on"
