Phew! At 1-0 down, must admit, I was looking at the Morecambe, Carlisle and Tranmere scores. Oh me of little faith. COYB.

Donacien every time at right back please. Great performance today against a bang average side. Grimes and Palmer played well. Nice to see Banks have a good run out. Pepple my MOTM, unlucky not to get a second.

Pepple or palmer MoM. Ok performance against a poor team. Unlucky pepple not to get more than one. Ref absolutely loved us, even blew whistle while they was about to hit one in top corner at end.

Thought it was a decent performance, played some lovely stuff at times. Very much deserved win. How do you know they were gonna hit one in the top corner fella?

Yeah both centre backs looked solid and looked like they wanted it. Word for boot too, top save at 0-0 when they caught us out after a corner.

Decent team performance. Needed the three points for belt and braces protection.

agreed deserved win, and because it nestled right into it as ref blew. That?s why their players and management went mad.

MOM for me was probably Palmer. Thought he was outstanding.
Set up a goal and defended well.
Not sure about the peno shout, which was waved away.

BTW, what a decent referee we had today. Best I've seen this season

Pepple my MOM. If those 2 had gone in rather than hit the post, wow.

Was a foul, was way outside box though anyway but he tried to stay on his feet and then stumbled into box and fell so looked like a peno shout.

Very welcome solid performance today, not one bad performance out there too. Grimes probably shaded MotM for me, had a great game considering what happened recently, chuffed for him.

Also thought the ref was a bit of a ?homer? big shout for palmers pen, naylor went straight through Baker-Richardson in front of the dugouts and we also got away with a 1v1 early in the second half when they got in behind palmer and the lino called it offside, but he looked clearly on in real time where we were sat.

Much needed 3 points on an emotional day and a confidence boost for everyone at the club.

Much more like it, today. No weak links and multiple shouts for MotM. Kudos to all for the 58th minute respect, too. Fair play to the ref and to Newport, there.

Chuffed for Pepple too, made the usual nuisance of himself today but played better, particularly second half and was so unlucky to hit the post twice.
