The girl who was killed when a car crashed on to a pitch where she was playing football was a "force of nature", her family has said. Poppy Atkinson, 10, was?fatally struck by the vehicle?while attending a training session at Kendal Rugby Club in Cumbria on Wednesday evening.
Her family described her as the "focal point of their lives".
We encourage all teams nationwide to have a moments silence before games this weekend #1Minute4Poppy
Jesus, what an absolute tragedy

When someone drives a car on a play area, it's not a tragedy its a crime. Hopefully they will throw the book at the moron who thought it was a good idea...

I can only assume something has happened such as a medical issue with the driver or the throttle on the car was stuck open or jammed?

Its an i4 so an electric car... could have selected wrong gear (drive instead of reverse) and you get full torque off the bat with an ev so if not used to car, possibly... but the pics show the car near the middle of the pitch width ways and frankly even if you got the wrong gear you should be capable of stopping it in a few feet not 10s of yards...
