Not being funny, Jon, but that's all over the place. It has us playing two games on consecutive days; some of the dates of games are way off.

They're accurate. There were two Premier League games played the day after a full programme the day before and a full schedule of football league fixtures on each of the two days.

Not sure where the data comes from, interestingly another site has the same with games on 26th and 27th December :-
http://www.englishfo...eld/1994-95.htm

Also this file from the Sky is Blue Chesterfield history site that lists all games by the date of the month they were played lists games on both the 26th Dec 1994 and 27th Dec 1994 and Soccerbase has the same info for goal scorers as well which suggests the Soccerbase data is right.

Insane. To be fair, I was only about 13/14 odd; so I'll allow my aging brain a bit of slack....

What years did Scrimingour play for us? I have no idea if that's spelt correctly.

Fab, cheers, Jon... anyone know who he scored against. I remember his unique penalty style, that always seemed to be successful.

Dagenham & Redbridge @ home 10th April 2010. 2-2 draw. 3rd to last match at Saltergate on a school ticket offer.
It was also my youngest sons 1st match. My eldest sons 1st match was also v D&R, but my husband took him on a school ticket offer about 3 years previously.

I remember standing on Cross Street with my 3 year old for that. Took her to my Mum and Dad's at half time as she'd had enough and came back.

Lol youngest was 4 and was deathly scared of Chester to start with. We were on Compton but so the kids had a lot of room to run up and down. Funniest thing was that we drew with D&R when my eldest went to his 1st match too 🤣

Scored a cracker at Everton (L.Cup) We was stood on the side amongst Evertonians when Scrims name appeared on the scoreboard (the bit in front of the upper tier) letter by letter the bloke in front of us turned to his mate and said "faaark me, he must be an anagram".

I'm 48, but have only (lol) lived up here for 25 years. We couldn't afford to go to matches if it wasn't for school ticket offers. As it happened my mother in law bought my husband and both kids season tickets for the 1st season at the b2net. I just got the odd ticket here and there, including Goku or paid to upgrade our youngest's ticket for midweek games eg Rotherham 5-0 😁

Thanks chaps I'm all befuddled now, memory failing. I'm convinced we called in the St on one occasion probably doing the Neppy, Arms etc and DBL was behind the bar perhaps just helping Swanny out.

When you mention the Blue Bell I presume it was the one in town and not Bolsover, we didn't frequent that very often having to supp Nansfield in the Saltergate Club and the Gardeners was enough.

I was corrected over the name, ie Bluebell, in Chesterfield.
I left 50 years ago so working from memory.
Each to their own but Mansfield bitter in there was nectar to me.
Complete with a bag of seafood and a War Cry.

Honestly not being pedantic mate, but it was the Great Central. My first legal (well, illegal) pint. Was run by a little bald headed fella called Vic, looked like Gandhi.

Bang on, it was `central' and not `western', sorry, senility setting in!
