sorry I thought you was having a dig at the goose , it might be best next time you go through Walton dam is to get of your bike turn the lights off and push it nicely so not to confuse or frighten the wildlife that naturally live there .

They normally don’t give a hoot when I ride through there so think they are fine and suspect the off lead dogs and louts chucking empty cans in the river bother them more than me sauntering through on my bike.

Plus it is part of the bike path network so plenty of bikes going through there.

yes unfortunately the louts we get even in the nicer areas of our town show very little or no respect to their local area or to the wildlife we share it with .

Aye. Let's all show some decency by not making a "bantz" issue out of what is actually a tragic case.

Plucked from Facebook so no idea if really true...

Nigel Clough is set to depart from his role as the manager of Mansfield Town next week. This decision has been met with various reactions from fans and players alike, as Clough has been a significant figure at the club. His departure marks the end of an era and prompts curiosity about the direction in which the team will head in the future.

In light of Clough's imminent exit, the club has already made arrangements to bring in a new managerial figure. Brian McDermott has been confirmed as his successor, and he has officially agreed to take on the responsibilities of managing Mansfield Town. McDermott, known for his experience and expertise in football management, is expected to bring a fresh perspective and new strategies to the team. Both fans and the club's administration are hopeful that McDermott's vision will lead Mansfield Town to greater success in the upcoming season.

No idea on his replacement but it seems to have been pretty much accepted amongst those lads I talk to that he’d be leaving in the summer.

He said last week he wants to stay, talks very much on going and has a meeting with the owner later this week.

His pre-match press conference he made several references to what ‘we’ need next season.

I'm suffering painfully watching Scabs beat Posh 3.0 in 1st half. That Conn Clarke from Alty doesn't look the same player as last year.

I'm watching it aswell Dave , 4-1 now but it would help if Peterborough hadn't selected Stevie Wonder to play in goal!! He's absolutely garbage , no positioning sense and looks about as tall as Jimmy Krankie.
