You're quite right mate it was Peterborough. I don't know what made me think he was from City.
Thanks for correcting me.
Scored 2 goals in 9 appearances for us.

Saw Arthur Albiston playing for Man Utd on the big match revisited on ITV4 last Saturday morning and it took me back to when he scored on his debut at Saltergate for us.
Can anyone remember Steve Phillips playing a few games on loan from Manchester City for us years ago and also Neil Pointon from Everton?

Neil Pointon had moved from Everton via Man City, Oldham, Hearts and Walsall when we got him..

Don't think so, was just here on short term deal and then popped up at Chester, presumably as they were closer to home and a division higher.

If I remember it rightly, I don't think he was ever interested or it was ever part of the plan.

Kevin Hurst was a good 'un as was Donal Mc Dermott. Gerry Armstrong,
Sheridan bought a kid form Lincoln when we were in the NL - looked good for a while.

I think he wanted to sign but good old Norts wouldn?t pay the fee they wanted. Ended up at Bury. To this day think this lack of signing and also not signing Mark Stallard stopped us getting to the playoffs that year.

Lee Novak was a good loan and he gave his all for the cause. Pity we couldn't get someone like him now.

In terms of ability then yes, but in terms of impact probably not, only played half a dozen games or so

Lee was always capable of scoring stunning goals as well as being a fox in the box.
