And what does Big Faith think about that?

I'd have thought the "Crown & Cushion" was before your time.

Looking forward to this one after last week's result. Not been to Walsall before so another to tick off the list too. Should be a decent following, no idea of numbers sold but should think it'll be 1300-1500 if I had to guess.

Team-wise I think we might end up with the rarity of an unchanged side. Donacien on the bench maybe.

I think I went once, my main memory being someone falling off of/being dropped from a stretcher. I'm pretty sure that was at the Bescot

Yep I was there that day, Martin O?Connor who was their captain I think.

My main memory of a town fan breaking the silence in the early 1990s there. We were losing and the clear and loud f**** sh**** blasted round the West Midlands in front of a very low crowd

I was there, chucked it down with rain and we lost 3-0. I remember Martyn O'Connor being dropped from the stretcher.

If anyone has read the book "Hooligans" the Walsall section lists their rivals as Shrewsbury, Port Vale and Chesterfield.

I didn't think we had any sort of rivalry with them, unless my understanding is incorrect?

Terry Shanahan, was on a scoring spree (consecutive matches) when his best strike of the lot a perfect right hook, connected with a Walsall jaw earning him an early departure, at Fellows Park. Mid '70s

Good interview by Cookie. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Collected the tickets this morning! 0808 to New Street and the Briar Rose spoons for breakfast, then other pubs in the vacinity....drinking in Walsall definitely not on the agenda!

I had hoped we would get near the 2000 mark for this one, but 1700-1800 will still be a good turnout! I honestly think we will beat them too...

If Walsall is anything much of the West Midlands/Black Country there should be some 'bostin' real ale pubs there! Me and my lad are on the bus from The Barrel so we'll be going wherever that stops en-route (Lichfield?).

I used to live in Sutton Coldfield and there were some excellent pubs around Lichfield.....Walsall/Cannock less so! I'm sure you will find a decent booster somewhere. Hope you and your lad have a grand day out mate!
