That doesn't seem to be the initial issue as they plan to use current footprint and structure to avoid planning permission. However the foundations don't meet modern standards (think the stadium is built on bullsh1t) so they need to drive in piles, then the concrete terracing isn't up to scratch etc etc. Should be refurbished about 2044 by the sounds of it.

Hopefully all the exploratory work, poking and prodding will cause a massive sinkhole that will swallow the whole shebang.

Regardless of foundations ect the room simply isn?t there for a major redevelopment.
