If this was Cook's first stint at Town, a relatively inexperienced boss in his first big job, I might understand some of these posts.
However his record speaks for itself.
Then this season he had his squad. He had his preferred starters. He had us up to fifth.
But then an injury catastrophe not only robbed him of those players, it at one point left us with the eleven on the field literally the last ones standing.
So some hasty decisions had to made, and none of those brought in can be dubbed poor performers.
Especially as we, almost inevitably in the context of current times, lost two of them almost immediately.
And how many of the injuries came from innocuous knocks? How can training or medical methods be blamed when lads who've only just arrived break down?
Nah, sometimes sh*t happens. It's just one of those campaigns from hell Cook'll talk about in his memoirs. Besides, we could also ask how bad it would've been without the regime to prevent us plummeting...
