Pepple is an absolute monster. He was having a right old battle with their big CB first half and won it. Rewarded with 2 goals. Sort of CF we?ve lacked. Good recruitment.

Absolute pony this guy is. Happy do donate a fiver to Ashgate, if this guy scores more than 1 goal between now and end of the season.

It's time to pay up Gordon ;)

I said on a different topic , I didn't think he was the answer and hadn't had a shot since the Rotherham game.

Last night he was very very good.
Held it up, showed his strength against a highly rated defender (Donnys No5)
After scoring his 1st goal, you could see his confidence grow and the finish for his 2nd was one any top striker(Grigg) would be delighted with.

We seem to have a better balance in the team with Duffy and Michael on the wings, and I'm sure we've all noted the early delivery into the box from wider areas, than previously cutting back and then delaying the cross.

Excellent team performance last night against a decent side , 6 points taken off them at an aggregate of 8-2!!

It?s almost as if, if you give players time, work with them on the training pitch, get them used to the system you get the rewards.

Who knew?

Wouldn?t mind pepple and the Brentford lad permanently if it?s possible. Think cook can make real good players out of them, along with Duffy.

Big difference that we got forward much quicker and crosses into the box. That?s playing to his strengths.

Previously we?ve played the much slower possession game which hadn?t played to his strengths.

The new signings of Duffy and Sparks have been a huge reason our style has been different
A new hope.

His reading of the game, and sensing where his opponent was, particularly in front of the East Stand second half, enabled him to intercept numerous balls rather than last ditch tackles risking free kicks or corners etc.
Excellent loanee.
East stand second class citizen.

I like that both him and Duffy look to get the ball in early, their first thought is to whip the ball in. Will be interesting to see Grigg with balls like that coming in

Worth mentioning that Michael Olakigbe looked every bit as pleased at his first senior career goal. He's still pretty raw but there's a player in there - the finish was excellent.

Olakigbe and Pepple are just the kind of youngsters Cook likes to bring on. He already picked a good one in Harvey Araujo, and it looks like he may have got two more gems.

Probably use Pepple like we did Quigley last year - a battering ram off the bench.
