Stepson has got tickets for the England Latvia game on Mon 21 March - he asked me what were the best transport options - when we go with town we usually drive to Stanmore but not sure if this works for an 8pm kick off.
Any advice?

I?d still use Stanmore and get the tube in, but rather than park at the tube station car park, which can be a bit of a pig to get in and out of for big Wembley events, I?d use one of the parking apps and book a drive on the road up to the station, there?s plenty to choose from.
Also the main road up to the tube station is now in the ULEZ zone so if going that way use the TFL app to see if his car is liable to the fee, you just type in the reg, and pay it on that site as well if it is. If he can I?d try to get to Stanmore pre 4pm because that main road can get busy after that with match traffic.

I drive to Croxley Green. Get some free street parking there then jump on the tube. Always been really easy.

I parked at a pub for 20 about 1/2m away. Up hill though. Wouldn?t park in the multi storeys near again!

If the journey home matters, I would do Watford Junction, train to Harrow and change or overground to Wembley central. 20 min walk to stadium. Coming back, central will be quieter than the wembley park option, and once at Watford it's 5 mins to M1 junction 5...

I've used one of the parking sites a few times to get on a drive near Stanmore and Canons Park and there are loads available. Tend to be slightly more expensive for England games but still nice and easy. Also used Rickmansworth when i went to the play off final v Notts County and that was pretty easy as well, handy as its the other way out of the main Wembley tube station so wasnt as busy.
