Just about right, I reckon.

Apart from that we have nobody else fit enough to play LB at present so now is the time for him to either stake a claim for a squad position or otherwise earn a move away.

Of course, others are somewhat in the same boat but not actually starting games. Our squad gets more bloated if we have more additions. They cannot all be named in the final squad of 22 so there will be some sifting out to do.

Surely not so much sitting out but going on loan?

True,he gives his all every match, and the thing is, his mistakes can be coached out. It's certainly not lack of talent, more a case of switching off now and again. I think he has the gig for a while yet, so hopefully he can build on his performance against Rotherham.

He needs coaching on trapping/killing a ball as nearly every ball to him bounces off a yard away and puts him under pressure, something I have been mentioning from him starting with us but which has not improved. He had one of his best games Tuesday because,IMO,he actually did defend at times. There is a player in there, and yes,he does put a shift in,just needs to add the little extras to his game.
On the subject of defending, once again I will ask,why do we not leave a man up at corners?Tuesdays game was a perfect example of how, with no outlet the ball keeps coming back at us with no way of releaving pressure. Also the amount of times we do not block crosses in to the box, just standing away and giving a free cross.I realise tactics have moved on considerably since I was a lad,but still do not make sense to me.

It will be a %age thing. The numbers will have been run and the conclusion will be that teams concede fewer goals from corners if they keep everyone back. And to be fair, it's working very well this season as I don't think we've conceded a single goal from a corner? Which is a very impressive record, credit to Danny Webb #BloatedBackroomStaff

He is, hence him not appearing in my 18.

no need to be shirty fella. just a simple yes he is banned would have sufficed.

i would hazard an educated guess, its down to the overall height in the squad, which i would also guess is one of the smaller outfits in the league,if you cant match for height you have to compensate by filling in as many spaces as you can and outnumbering the opposition, yes it does mean the ball may come back in ,but i dont think we have conceded that much from corners

my one big concern with grimes is his ability to get dragged out wide ,he was superb against rotherham but we do need him protecting the area infront of goal

Not being shirty. You chose to take it that way for some reason.

Just seen a nice little stat. We are one of 5 clubs in the 92 to have 10+ goals scored by subs this season. Well done to Paul Cook and his usage of robotic subs. Or maybe it?s the #BloatedBackroomStaff who are helping in this regard? Who can say.

One thing we can be sure of is that Mr Cum is a prick (as he once called our manager). 😊🥰

Tbh, there is a few who can't trap a ball.
