Probably if they let everyone know beforehand things would have played out differently. I've not known our supporters disrespect any form of remembrance, be it military or for fellow supporters. There are plenty of ways to let folk in on whatevers planned.

Out of all the mangers we have had I?d probably say cook was the most respectful in general. Nice genuine fella. Grimsby fans have this wrong

Most seem to accept we didn?t know as a fanbase but they really think
Cook knew and purposely strutted out and clapped us instead of taking part in the remembrance. Crazy.

I totally agree with you. Paul Cook really is a decent respectful bloke.

Grimsby fans whinging about disrespect is ironic when over the years they have probably caused more trouble against us than any other team. They have also caused notable trouble at Burton and Notts Co in recent years, and doubtless many more. Many of them are scumbags.

I have no idea what happened on the day but the aftermath is just typical tribalistic football fans posturing. Some here would be doing it if roles were reversed.

What I am really struggling with is why we should be so concerned with 'sensitive' Grimsby fans. I would like to say more but I will leave it at that

If they don't pass on information, how can they blame our manager? If Cook knew, then he would certainly have been part of the proceedings.

I am impressed by the apology and clarification that the club has issued today. I have to say that bagpipes in Grimsby do not automatically make me think of an act of remembrance. Had we been playing East Fife, perhaps.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

With the amount of cocaine and alcohol consumed by a large minority of Grimsby fans I imagine their 'sensitivities' are restricted.

How can they afford a match ticket,a sniffter of cocaine plus several gallon of cheap beer, surely the twopenny drops aren't doing that well 😁.

Grimsby fans rightly get justified stick nationally for their poor behaviour and strange habits so if they see a chance of 'getting their own back' they'll jump on it, without thinking. We knew f... all about it and being in conversation at the time it was virtually over by the time we realised.

If it takes place on the 1st home game of the season, should it have happened in their postponed game t'other week? If so, did they fail to communicate this with us? I think the answer is yes. Root cause poor communication by Grimsby.

Warfey I know you feel provoked but reactions like the one in question are way out of order. There needs to be an apology and a pledge not to react in an offensive manner again in order for you to continue posting on here.

Then if you feel provoked going forward just press the report button and it'll be dealt with.
