But not their ultimate decision, especially with stage of his deal. There must be a reason he chose to leave a very successful stage in his career with us to have a look at Orient.

Blackburn recalled him. He gets naff all say in the matter.

I was told by a former chief scout that mist players have no choice at all as normally the club will want to see if he can play a higher level especially after a successful loan

They must be ridiculously fit then. Strange, you wouldn't have known when we beat them easily last season.

Isn't this just boilerplate manager speak?

Take over a new team and struggle? Imply that the last manager didn't have them fit enough

Can't get a tune out of a new player? His last club mustn't have had him in proper shape

Why are we still talking about DM?

The player was on loan. He did a great job, but he is yesterday's news.

Move on.

For the same reason the national press talk of Kane and say McTominay. How will they get on? Will they succeed or fail? What is the standard of the game in another country/league?
It?s football talk.

If you don?t want to read/talk about Markanday,?then don?t click on a thread entitled ?Markanday? lol

It?s common to talk about x-Players particularly ones like him who made a massive impact in her time here on loan.

Exactly that. I don't really like too much of what Wellens says, even if after years of trying he's finally become a half-decent manager.

I've been keeping tabs on him since he arrived at LO. Got to admit, I thought he would have had more minutes under his belt.

Seemingly out of favour after a good start. An assist and a cpl of goals in his first 3 games wasn?t it?
Now all of a sudden he?s not had any minutes for the last couple of games and deemed not fit enough.

Maybe different styles of play require different levels of fitness. While he was with us we were very much possession based normally enjoying 60>70% of the ball. The one time I watched Orient (Markanday's first game) they certainly weren't. They always say you have to work harder if you don't have the ball, especially if you are utilising a high press.

Given his early success it is certainly a strange one though as he always worked hard to get the ball back if we had lost possession.

If it doesn't go swimmingly there I wouldn't rule us out of making an attempt to get him permanently in the summer.

I bumped into Ash Kirk a couple of weeks back and had a quick chat. He said we had made a bid to sign Matkandy but the financial structure was too high given his current wages at Blackburn. I asked if we would go back in for him, which would depend on us potentially getting promoted and on Dilan as London was a big draw for him given its where he's from.

So it's not dead in the water, but quite a few ifs, but and maybes. I would love to see him back. Duffy, Dobs and him would be an amazing line up!

Now that would be nice, and the less he plays for Orient the better. I still find it hard to see where Wellens is coming from, with the player's fitness levels though.

Wouldn't they have had chance to suss his fitness levels before doing the deal?

Being as he was virtually an ever present for us, started well at Orient and then seemingly benched and not even given a kick these last two games I?m not convinced it?s the reason.

They're clearly a very good team with better players than us. Ran City close and won at Wrexham the other night. Beat Mansfield easily but that doesn't count.
