I expect Pepple to be the man. Even if not banging them in personally I anticipate his physicality to be well suited to the role.

If we lose both Berry and Markanday then maybe so, as the 10 role will have to go to Madden, but otherwise I can't see it.. I'd expect Madden to start as the 9 when fully fit, which given our break maybe closer than we think now.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

I think Pepple will be first choice in all honesty.

Blackburn are likely to extend regardless or they?ll lose the sale leverage if no one?s ready to purchase now.

Wishful thinking but not sure we?ve seen the last of Markanday even if he?s recalled this window.

Unless Blacburn see a future for him at Ewood Park, any extension to try and recover some money would be a huge gamble. Firstly to tempt Markanday the interested party would have to match his wages and there's not many L1 clubs who are willing/able to do that and pay a hefty transfer fee.

I?m genuinely perplexed as to why, if Markandy is off to Orient, why the deal hasn?t been done by now to allow him time to train and fit in etc before their next game.

Just because its not been announced doesnt mean he isnt down there training etc. Not saying he is but no announcement as yet doesnt tell us a lot.

I have a feeling that if he was leaving/recalled it would have happened already - like Mr Merc says regarding time to train with a new club.
Orient have a game (like us) tomorrow and an early kick off Saturday

Thats my thoughts, half wonder if it could drop out in any pre match interview with Cook or Webb ahead of tomorrows game. Has Markanday featured in any of the other EFL Cup games to date?

So once in 4 games is it so far, probably means you can?t read too much into him not featuring tomorrow if that was to happen.

Orient are playing their postponed FA Cup game tomorrow, so he could play.

isn't there some rule about him having to have been signed on for the original tie date for him to be eligible? or is that just for replays? (which have been scrapped now anyway)

I didn't think he could play in cup games, and I genuinely can't remember if he played in the last round for us. If he can play tomorrow, then great.

Came on against Lincoln, didn't feature against Grimsby or Man City U21s, came on and scored against Wigan.
