We?d have taken mid table in L2 a year ago. Especially crippled by injury.

It?s just a fact that we are carrying too many players that aren?t L2 standard. Drummond, Hobson, Horton to name the obvious. You cannot realistically compete week on week whilst carrying these players. Even still, we?ve had 3 clear chances. You?d have expected Markandy to have found the net with at least one of his 2 chances and Naylors effort was decent.

I?m finding it hard to risk Colclough, I?d be half tempted to risk Fleck for 45. Throw Mandy up front.

Gave up on any chance of going up a few weeks back, and agree we?d have settled for mid table this time last year. Think there needs to be quite a ruthless clearout, no sentimental stuff please keeping people on who aren?t ever going to improve us. Not sure what the financial implications are with not going up this year for the owners, but let?s build a side that can go up and stay up.

To be fair they caught up with us at Fleetwood and Bradford as well as today

So many injuries over the Christmas period with so many games is a killer

Definitely not. We?ve been the better team, game?s not done yet, score within 15 mins of HT and its game on.

We have not been the better team

It's going to be a very tough January. Hopefully, we'll pick up enough points in February and March to keep us in with a chance of the playoffs.

We?ve got to get Markanday involved more. We only went down the right, meaningfully, twice and both times looked dangerous.

6 times, we had a throw on the edge of their box, which could have been purposeful, and went back to our goalkeeper, whose distribution is questionable at best.

Go through this eleven and ask how many would be playing given anywhere near a fit squad.

End of discussion...

Naylor is wasted at centre back, I know the hand is forced at the minute but I thought I'd add it whilst we are having a whinge

Exactly

Horton wasn?t deemed good to be named in the squad
Hobson and Drummond were loaned out
Two right backs were brought in so I doubt Sheckleford was thought of as first choice
Grimes is 4th or 5th choice centre half

Probably only Markanday and Dobra get in our first 11 when everyone fit (maybe Mandeville)

Grimes positional sense is SHOCKING! How was their CF free on his own in the box with Grimes 6-7 yards away from him then?

Top save from Thompson there to keep us in it (not that we deserve to be in it)

Absolutely dreadful performance this, polar opposite to Bradford.

Has noone told Thompson that Drummond is up top, not Paddy Madden?

Banks had a good game at Bradford and was involved with everything. Oldaker isn't having a good game.
