So, how many of the 66 squad are left with us? When I said to my pals this summer, I thought there was more than Geoff Hurst- I was told no, it was just him.
Seems they were wrong. Any more?

Geoff Hurst, Ian Callaghan and Terry Paine are still with us.

I remember seeing all three of them playing for their respective clubs, while being dragged along to Bramhall Lane by my blades loving brother when town were too far away to travel while I was at school. I remember being about ten and stood outside The Cricketers with a bottle of orange pop and a bag of crisps, while he was potting up lol. All great players as was George Eastham.

I can?t remember him at Newcastle or Arsenal but when I first got into football and when I could name most players in most First Division teams (it was much easier back then when teams barely changed from week to week) he was Stoke?s best play. As a kid I rent thinking he looked old for a footballer.
