Well, the result was not what we had hoped but I?ve come away once again feeling nothing but absolute pride today. The work rate and football on display from the boys was exceptional, the fans were exceptional, PCs tactics were exceptional - we deserved nothing less than 3 points, that was daylight robbery.
If we can do that away from home against a play off contender whilst having 14 players out, imagine what we will do come Feb.

Keep your heads held high today boys, you are fighting with your heart and soul for the shirt and we could not ask for more. We ride this out together until mid-Jan then watch us go. COYB

At least we tried, that's all I ask. It is always going to be extremely difficult with all the injuries. It won't always be like this.

In other news, if you want a laugh, absolute meltdown on the Port Vale board about Dinosaur Darren.

Meanwhile, down your neck of the woods, Stoke City youngster Nathan Lowe scores another brace for Walsall- putting them 12 points ahead of 2nd.
Oh for a young loanee striker in his mould.

Be interesting to see if Stoke recall him when they recruit a new manager, and what Walsall will do then.

The reason why I mentioned Vale is that we have a decent manager and a decent squad of players all prepared to fight for the badge and do their best. This temporary situation will pass. Vale are stuck with a clueless buffoon and it will cost them heavily if they do decide to get rid. So it isn't all bad as far as we are concerned.

After they beat us he was the best thing since sliced bread according to some of their fans.

I think we need to reign in our expectations for the rest of the season at the moment as there seems to be a majority opinion that the January window will bring in all our wish list, which it could,or could yield the totally opposite. We all know how easy it is to be conned in that window, half the quality for four times the price.Buyer beware.
We are in the laps of the footballing gods at the moment and up to now this season they have not been very favourable.Let's just hope for a big turn around for the second half.
At least we know the mentality in the dressing room leaves nothing to be desired.

Well that clueless buffoon did a job on us not that long ago
Maybe they are having a bad patch too

I can?t believe stoke wont recall Lowe looking at how poor they are!!
If they don?t, manager needs sacking!

Vale fans were very 50/50 on Moore before our game

Despite the adversity in our injury crisis, our performances have been superb..not only today but against fleetwood aswell. Best team in both games?if we had our normal strength in depth from the bench, both those games would have delivered points.

You just wait until we are back to full strength, we?ll motor into the top 3

The key thing is just to keep in touch with those ahead of us, we started 2 points off 2nd and ended 3 points off 2nd despite dropping a number of places.

We're not going to bring in a raft of places on the 1st January so it's about tempering expectations and keep chipping away and getting points where we can, I never expected today and the only disappointing thing is that I felt out performance deserved it, that was about as good a 1st half as you'll see from us, and but for the fine margins we could have gone in at the break 3 nil up, but alas we didn't

Per Webb, we seem to have at least a couple already lined up. With the returning injured players its a massive jump from where we were today.

Of all those injured probably only five: Grigg, Colclough, Tanton,, Gordon and Dunkley would be likely starters, but that?s nearly half the team and having a present lack of squad depth with the likes of Berry and Madden to call on if necessary is what is really hurting us.
