Details of Marks Funeral and wake if anyone knows him and wants to attend:


Mr Mark Smith of Hollingwood has passed away aged 49 years.

Born in Chesterfield, Mark worked as deputy head of care at Holly House Residential School.

He enjoyed Football - Playing, Coaching and also Refereeing. Supporting Chesterfield F.C both home and away and he loved Hiking and Hill Walking.

He leaves his partner Lucy Martin, children Harry and Darcy, his mother and father, sister Julie, brother in law Andy, nephew Jamie and step daughter Taya aswell as many other family and friends.

His funeral service will take place on Friday 10th January 2025 at 11:30 at Chesterfield Crematorium

Fantastic turn out on Friday for Mark, both at the crem then afterwards at the ground for his wake, must have been 150+ people outside the crem which was jam packed full too.

Even sadder aspect to the day was the fact that Marks dad, Leigh, a massive town fan himself too (and infrequent user of this board) sadly passed away the day before the funeral.

That's truly awful, so sorry for all concerned.
