L2 Referees Better than NL?

I've just read the BBC report on Wimbledon 1- 0 Gillingham. According to the reporter, the Wimbledon goal came through their striker knocking the ball in with his arm, unseen by any official. Also, Gillingham were denied a blatant penalty when one of their players was wrestled to the ground in a headlock by a defender. That wasn't spotted by any official either! Cooky would have gone into orbit if that had happened to us! The result moved Wimbledon up to second in the table.

On average there's not a lot of difference - what I would say is that Gillingham goal was a stealthy one and hard to spot. Some of the decisions we've had make that look quite legit. clear pens against Swindon and the Mandeville shirt pull v Bradford - just seen it - wow . All the other dodgy stuff so dodgy it makes you wonder if there's something else going on - unbelievably bad - and I mean unfathomably bad. Nat league refs would more likely have given us those pens

At this juncture, I'd like to add my 5 pennarth. Whatever the standard of officials in L2, any match unsullied by VAR is a bonus.
As all officials presumably have the same quality of eyesight no matter what the league, and they are all miked up, I think that mistake has the same probability of being repeated at any standard.
If that's not the case then the only conclusion I can draw is that the lower the level, the less the officiating team talk to each other on the mike. Any road up, it's still more palatable than VAR to an old *** like me.

This league is crazy 12 points between 1st and 2nd...
3 points between 2nd and 10th .
12 points between 2nd and 18th...
Promotion still potential for most of the teams in the league.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+
