They said they hoped to have dunkley back a few weeks ago pending approval from a specialist which presumably didn?t come.

There have been pics of him training put out by the club so he?s out there doing stuff.

The thing I don?t like is the secrecy with everything. We?re surely kept in the dark more than most fans of other clubs. I think it?s easier to accept the reality of a crisis like ours when fans know what?s actually going on because at the moment we don?t even know what injury half of our players have, never mind the timeline to expect them back.

All we ever hear from Webb is ?couple of weeks? / ?few weeks? but we?ve been hearing that since early October!!!

Maybe that?s the modern way to go about things but I don?t like it

I doubt we?re much different to most clubs. I suspect there is an element of not wanting to be too specific with return dates in case as often happens with injuries things don?t go to plan.

I expect there is also the likelihood that they don't want to give too much away to future opposition about the fitness of players. And I guess if you bang on about these issues you drive up the price of possible replacements.

Plus because of the league we were in cook had the opportunity to rotate the squad for most games

Only in recent games have we fielded a settled team, and that's because it's been forced upon cook, otherwise he's rotated the squad/team, either thru injury or choice, but he's still been swapping things up.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Chesterfield now have 13 players out injured: Grigg, Jacobs, Colclough, Williams, Fleck, Gordon, Daley-Campbell, Palmer, Dunkley, Metcalfe, Tanton, Madden and Mohiuddin. #Spireites

@liamnorcliffe

Can somebody have a punt on which players were injured in training as opposed to having to come off in a match?
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

I?ve highlighted it before but we have far too many main / important players in our squad that are the wrong side of 30. If we somehow manage to survive this injury crisis and get promoted this season, we need a major overhaul in the summer to offload the ?old but gold?.

It does make you wonder why we have 14 players out injured? Is it the training ground? The physio or something else

Only Tom, Chey and Will are main players, and you want to get rid?.

Oliie isn't.

John Fleck was a punt, a flyer.

Paddy's not has chance to be a main player for us, due to injuries.

You've considered the remaining lengths of their contracts too, I take it.

It's just a bad year. Last year was a good year. The previous 5 were average years. It all averages out over, say, a 7 years span.

As do the fortunes of a team.1 good year, 1 bad year, 5 years of averageness. All Imho.
