I wish.!! Last time I bought a 1st class stamp it was just over ?1-50 I think, which is outrageous. I live in New Whittington and regularly get our post mid-afternoon. Something has got to give thats for sure,, no surprise the other delivery services are doing well.

That's because they get to Cherry pick the best bits of the business no final delivery to the Outer Hebrides fo them.

Defo not firm it was, auntie worked for royal mail for many years in the 80s and 90s, she used to spend alot of time working down chesterfield during that time. Money was good, morale was good and pensions and benefits excellent. They had the monopoly for too long mind, whilst theres competition for parcels dont they still hold for monopoly for letters?

No one else has the ability or wants to deal with letters.

We could all help by writing in our thoughts, via the post, and someone publishing them on a portal, for further postal response.

No doubt to asset strip it, & make a fortune by destroying another British institution & putting thousands out of work. Its been the basis on which our economy has been run since 1979 afterall. That, or getting fat on taxpayers money through government contracts whilst destroying it & putting thousands out of work.

You would have thought that was the intention but read the conditions and commitments they have made.
One is to maintain the existing service.
The number of letters has halved in ten years and who wants to pay £1.65 for a first class stamp, that will not help.
