walsall were good but we matched them on the day, i always think 2nd half of seasons are more difficult but have a feeling we have made it to 6th without really hitting our higher gears yet, could be an exciting 2nd half to the season.

This whole 'we've been sussed' does make me laugh.
Yes, teams know:
Cook likes to play 4-2-3-1, or more recently a slightly adapted version of it.
Grimes isn't the quickest but is a towering strength in the air.
Dobra can be wound up and with the ball at his feet will always cut inside
Berry is dangerous but not good at tracking back....
... etc and so on for the rest of the team.
This stuff is no revelation and easily found out by other teams through scouting, tv coverage etc.
Does anyone genuinely believe teams don't do their homework on all of their opponents and know what to expect each game?
Just like we've been sussed, we've also sussed our opponents.
But, knowing what your opponent is going to do and stopping them doing it are two different things.
As Goku says, despite this we're still up at the business end of the league.

good post and fully agree, far too much made of the "we've been sussed line" teams know how other teams play and sometimes they are effective in stopping it, people were saying much the same last season and yet we breezed past teams.
6th place after 20 games is a good position and even better when you consider that we've struggled to field a settled side. webb keeps referring to the building of a squad and i would like to amplify that point because we do have players who can come in but more than that they are seemingly all on board and that takes some doing.

Serious question, what was the refs. rating today as more people mentioned the commentary team than the ref. which usually means a reasonable to good game?

Top man he's ref'd us 5/6 times and we've won every one including the play off game v Bromley and a victory over Notts before it was decided that'll not happen again

May be my rose tinted glasses but I think we seem to fare pretty well when a decent official is in charge.

Agree with that Tim. It was scrappy and we didn't really settle. So to get 3 points with the injuries mounting is even more satisfying. We rode our luck at times and would have been punished against the likes of Walsall. We need to get Dunkley back asap to help us push on.

Blurred TV? I watched it on my big telly hooked up to the laptop and it was crystal clear HD. Think you need a trip to Curry?s for the Boxing Day sale 😎

If we can keep this up until the new year then we could be in for a special season once again.
