I think Saturday's game showed us the importance of Liam Mandeville being in our squad. What an all rounder.
I would be surprised if he can play in goal too.

Can anyone please explain to me why the ref didn?t award us a free kick in the first half as Markandy was racing towards the box

The only logical answer being he didn't see it, distracted, had his head turned maybe, but at least he managed it well by explaining to PC and PC took it well, pity one of his colleagues couldn't have helped him out on the comms.

That area of the pitch seemed to be a bit of a Bermuda Triangle he gave a foul on Grigg (I thought he slipped as did others during the game), but surely if he saw it as a foul a card should have followed, made a bit of a mockery of Shecks one for nowt later in the game.

Their 35 got cautioned for going through the back of Grigg then 10/15 minutes later completely lost it thinking they should have had a goal kick when eventually Mandy put the ball into Pyes stockyard. The 35 could have been cautioned twice for lino abuse and while the ref was calming
him down he had another pop. But in total contrast to the clown on Tuesday the ref managed the situation well, with clearly different tolerance levels, keeping 35 on the pitch with hindsight probably did us a favour.

In comparison to what we've become used too the ref had a good game.

It was also pleasing that PC wasn't constantly ranting at the 4th offical, as they weren't killing the game at every opportunity, marvellous what taking an early lead does.
