For me both Coco and Dobra shook us up today. Nice to see Coco score and get reward for all his positive effort going forward and Dobra finally getting a ball when he was ready to pull the trigger.
No point in getting carried away though. I agree Tranmere is a team short on confidence (and ability compared to us individually). I feel for them and their great support given their league position as it looks like they?re on a slippery slope which I hope they can halt.
The difference today (despite the shortcomings of the opposition) was our willingness to get the ball forward quicker. More of the same next week please. Defensively though we had the run of the ball for a change but I wouldn?t say we were sound(er) until JG came on. Going forward both backs had a good game but a bit flattered defensively as Tranmere didn?t offer much of a challenge.
Made up for Drummond. No doubt he?ll have the chance to build on this going forward. Overall a big relief to get 3 points after a dismal run despite our win against Barrow.
PS no doubt it will fuel the debate going forward but I wasn?t very chuffed to hear the manager take absolutely no responsibility for the defeat against MKD in his pre-match interview. The players worked their socks off and got no reward no thanks to him. He just blamed it on his usual glib ? that?s football ? quote, the coaching staff and started with ? Jessop just has to learn ? .
So what does a manager add then when selecting the team ?
Maybe it?s just by chance with how the fixtures have fallen plus the injuries and suspension but we showed a bit more bite today. Carlisle in a similar state to Tranmere so it goes without saying we need to make the most of the weaknesses of our opposition to get a win there too.
PC has bought some time for now but I expect no supporter with any nous to think that it?s the turning point.
You were doing OK up to your ps.

Bought some time 😂😂😂 he must have done something to hurt you on a personal level for you to make stuff up and hate him so much. Talk about it. It could help you with your healing process.

I would like to see Mandy get a run of games, I think that's what he needs after having a bit part for so long. I thought he would be good in that midfield position.

We were in the lounge today so sat just behind Cook, a cpl of times after Berry came on Cook was visibly castigating him for his apparent lack of back tracking.

On that sort of thing, is someone going to own up to knowing the idiot with the big mouth towards the back of S5 who was loudly abusing Liam Mandeville? What a turd of a man.

That last sentence is something else really. With the added layer of delusion in suggesting anyone who isn't on his level is wrong. Laughable.

Can't see many disagreeing with Shecks as MOM, Williams barely a foot wrong, Gordon solid again,Araujo my only negative,an OK performance but I would say 60% of what he was delivering a month ago.Thomson improving by the game,Dobs had his best game for a while, one thing evident was that the officials still seem to consider every time he hits the floor it is a dive.Markanday looked a class above again,Grigg was his usual class, playing the team game.Coco should feel more confident after his showing and goal, the time he has to wait for his case to resume must be affecting him no matter what.
Not sure it is possible to assess the midfield pairing on todays opponents,no disrespect intended by this.
I was a little disappointed late on when we allowed Tranmere a period of possession and started dropping back,we are vulnerable when we drop back, have been for years. My disappointment was because we had brought the youngsters on with so much pace and needed to keep possession and let them run at their defence.Made up for Kane, what a mature finish.
In summary, what a quality game on a day when everything pointed at not being possible to play good football, ironic that our best home display is played out in the middle of a storm.🤔

It was noticeable that a couple of cards were out of the pocket before their players had hit the ground and that a couple of times cards were not shown,as per the rules, when our players hit the ground.Cue conspiracy pelters.

Yes, E4 was where the negativity was coming from.
Just before Berry set up the goal he had mouthed to a section - do you want my boots. The episode appeared to proper knock him back.
