Wonder who is getting the midfield birth along side Banks......

Mandeville, Aruajo, Cook or maybe Jones with his walking stick

I?m racking my brains who could play alongside banks that is fit. I can?t think of anyone bar mandeville but whoever goes in is going to be a square peg in a round hole by a long way. Unless he plays araujo there?.

Is there a workable formation that requires only Banks? Can't think of one.

Whoever is there will be well out their comfort zone so probably have to go with who is the most adaptable and physically capable. Mandy ticks one box better than the other. He can actually tackle reasonably well too. It's either him or Cook's lad.

It depends to what extent he can emulate Busquet. Piece of cake.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

It?s a headscratcher.

4-1-4-1

Thompson
Shecks Williams Grimes Gordon
Banks
Mandy Hobson? Dobs Coco
Grigg

3-5-2

Thompson
Williams Grimes Araujo
Shecks Mandy Banks Hobson Horton
Grigg Drummond

Neither are particularly ideal.

Been poor for a few games and now out with an injury, you really expect him to come back in and change things.. ??

I?d probably go with that too. We need the front four to start firing tho to help get us through this massive injury crisis. They?ve not exactly stepped up yet have they?

If we are working on the assumption we need someone who can put there foot in alongside Banks then we really are struggling. No idea if Araujo can play there and in all honesty he looks shot to bits confidence wise since Morecambe. Mandeville probably the only one who might be able to do a job, purely on the basis he probably can be a 6/10 anywhere on the pitch.

We really are struggling and the next two games are very winnable which is a shame we are up against it so much with injuries. By all accounts Hobson has done well at Barnet so I?d get him back involved if we can

If Hobson can play CM then he?d be my choice but I?ve got him down as one of the three who play behind the striker. So then probably Mandeville for the same logic as above although I?m really unsure if he?s good enough for L2 in general, he has no dynamism and doesn?t have much in terms of a passing range (good set piece delivery though).
