According to the list on the EFL website we initially named the following players, 19 that counted towards the limit then a second list that didnt count towards it :-



Someone else will be able to list who we've added since then and what they count towards etc.

It might be helpful if the club stated who has been added.

But as Fleck, Sheckleford and Horton have at least made the subs bench it seems fair to assume we have reached the limit (22) remembering there are only limits on outfield players over the age of 21.

On the subject of the contents of the list can someone explain why Connor Cook is included in the 19, as I thought he was under 21. Is it an admin error which in theory means we have a spare slot.

Does Hobson count as one of the U21 players? I know he is now 22 but i'm wondering if its one of these had to be U21 at a certain date and he meets that criteria? That would explain him being back when the squad is in theory full.

Pretty sure i read that he was on the pitch pre game yesterday plus the varied reports on here that he is back. It makes more sense we have no room for him so he's not back and was just with his parent club as we werent a million miles away which wouldnt be uncommon.

Also the chance that we recalled him with the intention of using him only for other injury things to happen and we've had to register different players so now cant use him.

The under 21 date for this season is 1st January 2024, at which point Hobson was 21

So the fact we have filled the registered spots doesnt impact on us being able to play him then?

He turned 22 in August which means he was already 21 at then qualifying date for being an U21 player.
