I think Hobson has been playing deeper for Barnet so he'd be my pick over Mandeville

Do we even have space to register Hobson now with adding Horton/Sheckleford to the squad list?

Presumably yes- if Fleck has not been registered.

the hand cook currently has may see us go totally front foot, our strongest department is in the forward line and the old adage our best form of defence is attack. this was the approach last season from the off and yes we shipped goals and we most likely will playing this style but for saturday at least do we have a better solution? recall the walsall game this season when we somehow got berry, colclough, markandy and dobra all on at the same time, maybe we have to go for something like that in a 4-1-4-1.
candidates to play alongside Banks (if indeed he is fit after last nights knock) are mandy, araujo, cook, none of whom fill me with confidence in that role. Tranmere lowest scorers in our league with just 12 so far, i say let's go for it with all of our available firepower.

Fleck pulled up in the EFL Trophy game but I don?t know if you have to be in the squad list for that. His only other appearance was the FA cup game.

I had the feeling he was an unused sub in a league game but I can?t find any evidence of that. I?m sure it has been suggested by management at prematch interviews that he was to appear but he failed to do so. So maybe that is why we assumed he had been added.

Maybe that is why there were reports of him being at the game last night or maybe it was just an opportunity to catch up with him.

I suppose he would be an option as he has energy, can pass and make his presence be known about. Probably as stronger candidate as anyone else who is available. Barnet will be gutted as he has become a firm favourite.

We registered 19 with the EFL in September.

When are you going to spell Markanday correctly?

Better than the commentator on the stream I watched last night (BBC no less too) who called Araujo 'Arrajulo' and various versions including a non-existent 'L'. Thankfully he was able to stop calling Oldaker 'Old-acker' quite soon.

Which begs the question- have we recalled him, and if so why?

I would think we'll be weighing up if to bring him back or not. If he's doing well for Barnet, then the loan has worked to a point, because he'll be brimming with confidence if he comes back. Although, if Naylor is a game away from being fit, DJ banned for one game, and Fleck is back for the middle of the month, then it maybe premature to bring Bailey Hobson back.
My guess for Saturday will be our multi-skilled Mandy alongside Banks, with Cook as back-up. Jones out nursing his ankles is a pity for us and him.

Hobson is already in the squad. He came off the bench at Crewe for a start.

That game was before the squad list was submitted at the start of September so doesn?t count. He isn?t on the FAs published list.
