When I first saw Hobson play, I thought that he had something about him, a real good player.
Him being recalled will be his chance to impress and get game time in a blue shirt.

Was Hobson initially named in our EFL squad?

If not and we are going to use him I assume he and Sheckleford will take up the 2 remaining slots.

Hobson wasn't so he would be an addition

Drummond was in the squad so he could be recalled without affecting the squad if the load agreement allows

I believe it was initially said we could recall him any time after the first month of his loan spell.

Whilst I like the lads enthusiasm I do not think he has hit the back of the net for Oldham and I hardly see him as a goal threat.

However, it as probably time to bolster our squad in whatever way we can and for Kane to prove me wrong.

Adding Sheckleford, Hobson and Drummond to the squad for December could make sense.

I think he has been coming off the bench for the last few games. I suppose he could give a Gregg a rest if we are comfortably winning for losing so worth considering.

We may also feel the need to have cover for Gordon so Horton might be preferred although there was a suggestion that Aruajo could play there.

Including the Derbyshire Cup game at Buxton I believe we have 10 games to play by 5th January so we will need as many bodies as we can muster.

Considering we play MK on Tuesday night I think it is quite obvious that any player involved in that game will not even be considered for a game the day after.

We were very little threat 1st half, and we're lucky to go in only 1 down, Thompson had made a very good save low to his left, and Grimes stopped a certain goal 2 yds off the goalline, we didn't really compete at all especially 1st half, we're not playing well at all at the moment, the last 3 or 4 games have been very poor by our usual standards, not helped at all by all the injuries we're getting atm... hopefully our fortunes change for the better soon,

The Derbyshire Cup was always going to be a team go youngsters, more at risk is the EFL Trophy game will be tossed off.

Problem being we are guided somewhat by the selection rules in that game as to who and how many can be rested.

what this means is that Banks will be one of the CM's and that Hobson will play as one of the 3, either as a starter or sub. Our CM contingent is down to 3, Banks, Oldaker, Jones. Scratting around for other volunteers will mean considering Araujo, Mandeville and the Academy lad.

araujo alongside oldaker as a DCM is an interesting call to be fair. don't know if he's played there before and the only question would be if he has the reading of the game to play that bit further forward, it is different playing there but he has other attribtes that are transferable to that position.
