The best pair are Dunkley and Araujo both injured.
With what's left, it would be Williams and Grimes.
Naylor is a square peg in a round hole and imo should only play there if three out of the four of Dunkley, Araujo, Grimes and Williams are injured.

for me naylor is our best centre mid and we lose something with him being at the back, he wants to be more involved, how often we see him at the moment as a centre back driving down the right wing still. last season someone on here described him as being a bit like having a cheat code on a game, the ground he covers is impressive and the goals he popped up with last season were key to our success, for me first name on the team sheet and in the centre of midfield.

Why is the "best manager outside the championship" team currently 9th after 15 games?

Losing 3-0 Accrington Stanley at home must hurt. Away fair enough, but at home...

I didn't realise the season ended after 15 games. My bad.

The other notable tactic, which I forgot to mention at the time, was their unhesitating fouling on anybody who was running into the area with the ball, before they actually got in penalty land. I think it happened three times. Contrast it with our standing off and not getting in a challenge, let alone a foul, in the same situation. Nobody wants to see cynical football, but if it's the approach that pays off for every other team we'd be fools not to look at it.

Some tackling in CM by our CMs would be a nice change

My 4-1 prediction is coming together nicely 🙏😁 I know it's been done to death on another thread, but even by usual standards, it sounds deathly quiet in there on the stream. Atmosphere appears nonexistent.

I forecast 1-3 just had a feeling something might be on the cards.
God I hate this league.

You have to wonder about the mentality of these taffs they hate the English but employ a set of English mercenaries to play the game they worship, it being the only way to gain success. Hypocrisy

They probably wash it down with that muck mate.
I had my one and only pint of Brains on holiday in the Sailors Arms in Newquay back in 1978. That pint was enough. I've never had another one since!

That's an eye-opener if it's even approximately right.Lot of money going to waste on poor sides, it seems. We're doing really well, but Walsall win the cookie.

I'd ask a very simple question - what do folk realistically expect this season?

Me? Well first target was consolidation, proving we can compete, something comfortably achieved.

So the next is challenging for top seven, which we quite clearly are.

Yea there's an issue overcoming disciplined defences at home, but on the other hand just three more goals in those games would've seen us touching top three.

I also expect a significant turnover in Jan. Six or more players who've obviously capable of first team football though not in Cook's plans moving on, replaced by quality of not necessarily the same quantity.

Town are moving in the right direction. Celebrate that fact ..
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

Based on the wages percentage of turnover regulations (SCMP or whatever), how on earth do Salford, Morecambe and Barrow get by in their said positions in that table?

To be straight, Williams, Grimes, Hobson, Palmer but not sure about who the others are. Madden is a bit of a diappointment tbh but hasn't had much service.
