Would be a real coup to get him perm. He?s a bottom half champ / top end league 1 quality player and I think he?ll only get stronger as the season goes on.

I would personally be surprised to see him here on a perm unless we got promoted, but happy to be surprised!

He?s OOC in the summer. Makes no difference to Blackburn if he plays in L1 or 2. Unless of course Blackburn take the option of another year on him.

There's a reason players choose to play for Paul Cook, and I don't believe that players such as Will Grigg, Tom Naylor and Chey Dunkley are all doing it for the high wages on offer, because all three of them are league one or higher, and as such could command higher wages from clubs further up the pecking order. I may be wrong but it's just a feeling that Markanday fits us and we fit him too.
